hummingbird capture

I got that one with my old 40d and a 50 mm 1.4 (captured at 1.8). The bird flew arround for a while and I knew my gear is to slow to capture him, so I started to focus on one of these flowers….I thought, maybe I get lucky and he will fly close to that one. Ten seconds later I got that shot:

Sometimes its good to use a Telephoto lens

Sometimes its good to be not that present (close) to the couple, so they can relax a bit. (for a nice shot πŸ˜‰ )

Photo of the Day: Beach Volleyball

Finally I found some time to post photos again πŸ˜‰

During a beach volleyball shooting (with Alexander ‘Xandi’ huber and Robin Valentin Seidl for http://www.sportpark-klagenfurt.at/) I had the Idea to get a different angle.
So I put myself down on the ground with my 8-15mm fisheye lens and snapped these images.

I was scared to scratch my lens because of all the sand (it was full of it)…but after cleaning the lens everything was fine….from my point of view it was worth the risk.
As you can see, the guys were also pretty close to the cam (and my face) πŸ˜‰
