English version

A topic that we all have to deal with – Covid-19 is changing our lives.
I brought the coronavirus topic onto my wet plates because I want to create awareness about this virus and also because of the similarities with the wet collodion process. With this process you want to avoid contact and inhaling of the chemicals and therefore you also have to wear a mask and gloves.

Be safe everybody and take good care of yourself!

Photographer Markus Hofstatter has made a name for himself by pushing wet plate photography to new heights, trying things others have never even thought to do. Today brings yet another example of his creativity, as he sets out to create an animation using, not digital files, but wet plate collodion tintypes.
