The Russian

Posted on December 18, 2024December 18, 2024 By Markus

A shooting with a fellow wet plate artist in my studio. We went for two very different portraits. A more friendly one and a very serious one. I decided to go with two different collodions. For the serious one I chose an old and very contrasty collodion that fits the mood of the image. I wanted to create harsh skin tones and as much contrast as possible to create this angry serious look.
This time I also choose not keep our conversation in the video. It’s very raw and honest. Lots of funny moments and maybe some interesting technical points during the video. Enjoy and let me know in the comments how you liked it
